Hi twinkie, following people is for the people you like and lots of times they will follow you back. All their work and comments then go in your news feed. The I like button votes up people's work in the like tab, next to feature, which is based on weekly, monthly, all time likes. It also shows the artist who liked their stuff. I work here.
