Thanks to the incredible response to our Halloween contest, we decided to sponsor a second DoInk contest. This contest's theme is
Thanksgiving! I know you won't believe this, but we will have one planned for
Christmas too. (Well, unless this turns into a horrible failure, but I
have a good feeling about it... just like our Halloween contest! )
The guidelines for the competition are simple: (and will be very
familiar to anyone who participated in the Halloween competition.)

1) For your animation to be considered for the contest, it must be
tagged "Thanksgiving08" and be shared by Wednesday, November 26,
2008 at noon.

2) The winner will be announced sometime on Wednesday, November 26, 2008. (We will try not to announce it early this time. My bad.)

And the prize is... Having the winning animation featured on the DoInk home page and an artist interview posted in the DoInk forum and blog. abcx3 was our Halloween08 winner and has set a very high bar. So high, that we asked him to be a judge in this competition which he agreed to do. Therefore he will not be eligible to participate, but may be swayed by cookies....lots of cookies.

So we can't wait to see what you come up with for Thanksgiving08! If you have done a previous Thanksgiving clip that you would like to retag for this competition, that's okay with us.

Please note that DoInk Staff is not permitted to participate in this
contest. No trying to sneak in under another user's name either, Aaron.

Wow! We were overwhelmed and impressed by all the animations that were submitted for our Thanksgiving08 competition. Thank you, thank you! What a difficult decision to choose a winner since there were so many great animations. Here is the web page with the entire list of submissions:
